What is a hustler to you?
A hustler to me is a person who’s going to get it by any means necessary. A hustler expects obstacles and hurdles but has the ability to adapt to overcome challenges. A hustler is willing to not follow the blueprint but create a new one to be successful.
What makes you a hustler
I’m open to taking risks. I’m willing to take a small loss for a big win. The reward is greater for me.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been patience. I have a go getter attitude and I want to be on top no matter what. However the challenge can be waiting for that moment to come. I’m doing well but I always want to do better. Waiting for that is tough.
Words you'd give to another woman starting a business?
Success looks and feels different for everyone. Never let anyone tell you that
you’re not successful because you’re plans and your outcomes don’t match that of the next woman. individualize your success and achievements. You can feel good about things that you have accomplished and they don’t have to be the status quo.
About You and Your business
I am from a small town in Arkansas (Pine Bluff) but I’ve been a resident of Dallas, TX for over 15 years. I have a bachelors and masters in Psychology which have been helpful in growing my brand and understanding the complexities of how people make decisions about purchases. It’s also helped me to develop a great working relationships and network with others. I was inspired to start the brand when I became pregnant with my now 6 month old son. I knew I wanted to showcase him in stylish and unique clothing so I thought it would be a great idea and business to do the same for other little cuties. Ultimately I desire to be a successful black owned business woman that inspires young girls and women to follow their dreams, act on their desires, and to be fierce in everything they do.
Whats one thing you do that never fails you and helps you hustle harder?
My desire to win never fails me. Even when my back is against the wall I feel
even more pressure to go harder. Everyone falls but as Long as you get up you can start again.
What kind of woman do you strive to be?
I strive to be a woman who is the example. I’m often reminded by other women that they are inspired by me and love the way I move. To know that the smallest acts of strength and integrity are noticed means a lot to me. Keeps me focused.
What would you tell your younger self?
Always be ok with being you. The things that make you different will be the things that are going to make you great.
What is your vision for your business
My vision is to grow my business into an amazingly well known brand that parents are excited about. I want to remain unique but well known and extremely profitable. I also want to continue to help open doors for aspiring children fashion models, YouTube’s, and influencers by promoting and showcasing them on my platforms.
